Standards of Care Discussion Groups

All RW service providers and clients are invited to attend and participate in the last two Standards or Care discussion groups and one special discussion group designed specifically for PLWHA.

Location: 1000 Broadway, Conference Room 310 Thursdays from 1 – 3pm

January 7 — Early Intervention and Psychosocial Support
January 14 — Ambulatory Care and Medical Case Management

AND in addition don’t miss Tuesday December 15 — Immediately before the PLWHA Committee Meeting — You do not have to be a Committee member to participate! Everyone is welcomed.

What will we discuss?

What are the Ryan White Standards of Care? The Standards of Care serve as a guide for the services provided in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties for Ryan White Core and Support services categories. The Standards provide a delivery protocol for Ryan White contractors and facilitate quality services for PLWHA in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.

Why is my presence at this meeting important? We need more input from PLWHA about the quality of service delivery that will enhance their lives; we will review the service category definitions provide by HRSA and discuss the policies and procedures of existing service providers in each of the categories, as well as what you think the new standards need to contain as minimums for the TGA.
